The location offers an excellent mix of cosmopolitan city vibes and tropical paradise, as the city’s packed with great nightlife spots, museums, and cultural pastimes without being too far from the nearest beach.
Beaches are certainly in abundance; taking under a 20-minute drive over to the barrier islands and you have some beautiful spots to lay your beach towels, like Bradenton Beach, Anna Maria Island, and North Longboat Key Beach.
Sarasota:
Just below Tampa is the beautiful town of Sarasota. Looking out over the Gulf of Mexico, this place is somewhat of a coastal paradise, with peaceful beaches as well as plentiful kayak and fishing excursions around for your enjoyment.
